Why is it in intense heat with lack of water that weeds thrive? I think it is a lesson to all of us. When the heat of circumstance is turned up in our lives and we do not water our souls with the Word and the Presence of fellowship with God, weeds in our lives thrive. Weeds of selfishness, self-pity, manipulation, control, anxiety, unbelief, coarse talk, envy, backbiting, bitterness. May we take heed and water.
